The system has worked reliably since day one then about a month ago the bell + strobe unit started making more frequent cheeping noises (like very loud magpies). I have a AG6 external bell + strobe unit hard wired. I installed a Scantronic 500r+ wireless control panel + PIR's probably 15 to 20 years ago. It's the one that's kind of grey around the LCD then white underneath and has 4 buttons ABCD running horizontally between the white and grey panel.ĭoes anyone have any idea how I can fix this? Thanks. The keypad doesn't actually have a model number on it but it says "Part No. I'm not sure if this is advised, but I went into my loft and unscrewed the front off the alarm panel and confirmed that it's a Scantronic 9651. Pressing any of the buttons on the keypad just makes a reasonably long beeping sound (the beeps are probably twice as long as the beeps that used to happen when the keypad was functioning properly). The warning symbol has an orange light on all the time. There are 3 small lights at the side - the top is a warning symbol, the second is a spanner and the third is a couple of lines. The LCD displays the date, time and 9651. This morning, the keypad isn't responding to anything. I didn't want to play around with it last night as it was late so left it overnight. From a bit of Google work, that looks like it just thought the keypad was missing.

I tried putting our alarm code in just to see if it would set but it came up "K01 missing". Once we did that, the keypad showed something along the lines of "v4.00 " - I can't remember exactly but that was the general idea. It was like that for a couple of hours until we got around to reconnecting the wires. The alarm didn't sound or anything - the panel and sensor above it just didn't have any power. We were doing some DIY and accidentally cut the wire for our alarm keypad and one of the sensors. I was hoping somebody has an idea of how I can fix this? Thanks. If I press the tick again, it says "Call installer - 9651". If I then hit the tick again it says "K01 Missing - Inactive Next". If I put my code in again, it says "2 problems - set" and if I press the tick, it says "Lid Tamper - Inactive Next". It will then go back to showing the date/time/9651. If I press the cross it says "Can't reset - 9651". If I put in my code (or use the alarm fob) all three of those lights go on (yellow warning, red at the spanner and green at the wavy lines) and the LCD says "2 problems - set".

There are 3 small lights at the left the top is a warning symbol, the second is a spanner and the third is a couple of lines. I have now screwed the cover of the panel back on but I'm still having problems.īy default, the LCD on the keypad shows the time, date and 9651. I was going to post online about what alarm I had so opened the panel in the loft to find out. This morning I managed to get the wires joined back together and the alarm keypad is back on again with the motion detector. Thankfully, the alarm didn't sound as this was late last night. We were having some work done on our kitchen and the wire for our alarm keypad and one of the motion detectors was cut.
